Here's my piece for @themooks #DrawGrinch...

Having grown up on Dr Suess (amongst others...), it was really good fun to have a crack at one his iconic characters, and also get the Illustrator skills up to scratch! I've slightly subverted Grinch, and sent him off-duty bowling.

Thanks to the wonderful Paul Harrison-Davies, I've been playing with a lovely little app called FNNGR... this is addictive! Here's some of the 'paintings' I've on the iPhone this week...

Ahhh, Calvin and Hobbes. The glorious creation of Bill Watterson, and beloved by readers old and young. James Howard (@themooks) set up another of his wonderful #draw threads dedicated to a small boy and his stuffed tiger... You can see all the wonderful contributions (including mine!) here:

Two days, two legends (certainly to me) have gone, and there are two big holes in my creative universe.

I was stunned for a second time in the space of a week to hear that my favourite children's author/illustrator, Maurice Sendak had died.  I think most people in the western world have seen or heard of his work, especially 'Where The Wild Things Are'.  Sendak was, and still is, a huge influence on me and my work, and he will be seriously missed.

James Howard (!/themooks ) has got another wonderful #draw project up and running... you can see it here:

Here's mine... RIP Maurice.

I (amongst MANY others) was stunned by the death of Adam Yauch, aka MCA of THE BEASTIE BOYS last week.  Their music played a big part in my growing up, and expanding the sounds I listened too, books i read, and art I created.

James Howard, aka, THE MOOKS got a special #Draw going through Twitter, allowing us to pay our respects with our art.  You can see them all as they come in here. Here's mine...

Following the SHE MAKES WAR theme (have you bought the album yet?), Laura has added more goodies to her store, featuring the logo I created for her last year.

Go on over and spend lots of money, as you'll be supporting one of the best indie (gloom pop) artists in the UK.

Unless you've been living under a rock, you'll know the amazing SHE MAKES WAR released her wonderful second album 'LITTLE BATTLES' yesterday...

I love this album, having been able to hear it late last year, and also being a collaborator on the wonderfully illustrated lyrics book that is also available (though not for long... it's limited edition!).  I've had to wait to reveal my illo for the book, of which I'm very proud, but now have the go-ahead from Laura herself to share it with you all...  so enjoy!

And while you're enjoying my art, go and get LITTLE BATTLES from the SMW website, you seriously won't regret it!

LAURA KIDD, aka 'SHE MAKES WAR' has put her wonderful new website on-line, which, I'm very proud to say, features the logo I designed for her last year.

I had to sit tight on this one, as Laura's been busy wrapping up her new album, 'Little Battles' (which I suggest you go and pre-order now!), along with, but not only, gigging like crazy, and appearing on 6 Music with TOM ROBINSON.

Laura is a great example of what you can do for yourself, as she is an amazing musician, relentless self-promoter, video maker and more.  A true role model for all of us who create!

Serious progression on the comics front, with plenty of development drawings and the first strip storyboarded. Watch this space for more...
